I’ll definitely be recommending this company!Also to add, I called another appliance centre that’s pretty big in YYC. They quoted me $125 just to show up, before diagnosing or fixing the problem. Freedom Appliances and specifically Ilya (the owner) are amazing, absolutely top notch I would highly recommend them. I had hired unknowingly a scammer by the name of Avi to come in and fix my fridge,Avi then subcontracted Freedom Appliances to come and do the work. Two months later the fridge stopped working. I contacted Avi who gave me a litany of reasons as to why he can’t make it claiming a heart attack and car issues. Etc. feeling fed up and without a fridge for two weeks I called Freedom and explained that the fridge they had been hired to repair by Avi had quit working. The owner Ilya explained to me that he had not been paid by Avi who hired him to do the repair. I was initially surprised so I did some digging on Avi and was able to find out that he’s well known for his dishonest practices and subpar repair work. I explained to Ilya that I paid over $1200 for the work and I’m not sure what to do. Ilya said to me “no problem I will come and fix your fridge after all I was the person who did the work and I stand by my work and reputation”. Ilya determined that the system lost its charge he recharged the whole system examined, all the soldered joints including the factory ones spent in excess of three hours at my house fixing the fridge and he charged me nothing. Even though he was not paid for the original work performed. If you’re looking for a honest and skilled repairman look no further than Ilya and his team at Freedom Appliances.

We had a company look at our fridge and say we need more coolant (or anti freeze or whatever’s it’s called). We called Freedom Appliance for a second opinion and they determined it was the compressor and saved us a ton of money. They are very honest, fair with their price, and good customer service… we will use again!!
Eugene was great. Quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to fix the issue. He also showed me some issues that could be a problem in the future (heating coil and motor), both of which could be seen with the eye that those parts are on their way out. He then priced out those new parts for me. Ultimately, he said to keep running it as and that it would make more sense to purchase a new dryer once it dies. Eugene was very honest with me and I would recommend Freedom to anyone.
Were running late due to weather, and called to let me know. Once to they got here it was straight to business and identifying the problem with my dryer. Took it all a part and did some maintenance on it. Runs great now, but with a warning that the motor was the issue. Told me that it will hold while I shop for a new one. Good serviceman-ship

I had Roman come fix my dishwasher as the heating element wasn’t working. He was very friendly, polite, and professionally on time. He didn’t speak great English, but he had the expertise and knowledge on how to repair my machine. The price was very reasonable as well. It’s been a few months and my dishwasher is still working perfectly after he fixed it.
Roman Zozulia was the tech that showed up. He arrived within the arrival window and first inspected the operation of the washer to see what I had seen about its issue. He knew right away that it was either the pump or a blockage in the drain line. Checked the line and knew the pump needed to be replaced. He had the pump in his vehicle and got to work replacing it. He worked fast and efficiently like he had been doing this for years. Once the pump was replaced he turned the washer back on and ran it through a cycle to ensure it was now operating correctly. It is and I’m very happy with the service and cost. Roman was respectful of my home and my family while he was here. He was clean and professional in appearance. I am a service plumbing/HVAC technician and recognize good service when I see it. If the other techs that work here are half as good as Roman I wouldn’t hesitate to call Freedom Appliances again.
